Former Uttarakhand Governor B.L Joshi passes away in New Delhi

Former Uttarakhand Governor BL Joshi passed away at the AIIMS hospital in Delhi, the last breath took place on Friday. Joshi, who came to Uttarakhand as the third governor, left a deep impression in his two and a quarter-year term.

Born in the small Kathu village of Nagaur district of Rajasthan, Joshi remained famous as an efficient administrator with simple nature during his tenure. There is a wave of mourning in the state on his demise. Joshi took charge as the governor of Uttarakhand on October 29, 2007. While keeping this post till August 5, 2009. The current governor Dr Krishnakant Paul also worked with him in Delhi from 2004 to 2007. Joshi was working as the Lt Governor of Delhi from June 2004 to April 2008. During that time Dr. Paul was the Police Commissioner of Delhi.

Dr. Paul said that late Joshi was an efficient administrator.  On behalf of the Governor, his ADC gave a floral circle tribute to the self-sacrificing BL Joshi. Assembly Speaker Premchand Agarwal, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat also expressed condolences over the death of late Joshi and wished for the peace of his soul.
