39 Indians captured by ISIS are dead reveals External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has made a big statement about 39 Indian nationals missing in Iraq’s Mosul in the Rajya Sabha today. Sushma Swaraj said that 39 Indians missing in Mosul have been killed. She said that it has become clear from the DNA of all the dead that all of them have been killed. Sushma Swaraj said that 39 Indians have been killed by ISIS. She said that the story of holding the 39 Indians for ransomĀ  was false.

In a statement given by Sushma Swaraj in the Rajya Sabha, she said that in June 2015, ISIS had kidnapped at least 40 Indians, a terrorist organization in the Mosul city of Iraq. One of these people escaped by calling themselves as a Muslim from Bangladesh. The remaining 39 Indians were taken to Badush and killed. She told that the information about the captured Indians being taken to Badush city came from the company where they used to work.

Sushma said that the Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh visited the Indian Ambassador in Iraq and a Iraq government official in Badush city and started searching for the missing Indians, local people said that the ISIS terrorists buried some dead bodies. External Affairs Minister said that with the help of ‘Deep Penitration Radars’, it the pit was found where the bodies were buried.

Sushma said that Indian officials requested to remove the bodies from their Iraqi counterparts. After digging, there were 39 bodies found. Also, there were some identities, kara, long hair and shoes that were not Iraqi. These bodies were sent to Baghdad for DNA testing. In the investigation, DNA of 38 Indians got matched, while the 39th DNA of the body has matched 70 percent of DNA of close relatives.
