Chinese army retreats in Galwan valley after NSA Ajit Doval- Chinese Foreign minister meet
A 2-hour-long video call between national security advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was discussed on Sunday, a day before the Chinese PLA retreat in Galwan, eastern Ladakh. During this time, India and China have agreed that with the end of tension on the Line of Actual Control, there will be no unilateral action in the disputed border area so that the architecture can change. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs gave this information on Monday.
The Foreign Ministry said that phone conversations were held between National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday. During the talks, both of them discussed deeply and openly the recent dispute in the western sector of Indo-China border areas.
The Foreign Ministry said that both sides agreed that the process of de-stressing along the Line of Actual Control should be completed soon. At the same time, both sides should end tensions on the India-China borders in a phased manner. The ministry further said that negotiations would continue between NSA Ajit Doval and China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi for the restoration of peace and peace under bilateral agreements and protocols on the India-China border.
The Foreign Ministry said they reiterated that both sides should respect the Line of Actual Control and that no unilateral action should be taken to change the situation.
China said – agreement reached in two rounds of talks
China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said, “China and India troops held commander-level talks on June 30. Both sides are implementing the consensus reached in the two rounds of talks. “They were asked for feedback on the news reports in the Indian media which stated that the Chinese troops had retreated.
Zhao said, “There has been progress in front-line armies, effective command is being taken to reduce tension.” We hope that the Indian side will implement consensus through concrete action and maintain dialogue at the military and diplomatic level to reduce tensions in the border area. “This Chinese response came within hours of reports that Chinese troops had left 1.5 km behind the skirmish in the Galvan valley.
After the incident of June 15, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) soldiers had moved from the place which is LAC according to India. India also built bunkers and temporary shelters, increasing its presence in the same proportion. Both armies were standing eye to eye.
On Sunday, a survey was conducted on whether the Chinese troops withdrew or not, as agreed on June 30 in commander-level talks. “Chinese troops have retreated two km from the location of violent skirmishes,” the official said. Both sides are removing temporary structures. ”He said that physical verification has also been done to check the change.
There has been a situation of confrontation between the armies of the two countries on LAC in Ladakh for almost two months. Although it was agreed to withdraw both the armies on June 6, China is not implementing it. Due to this, there has been a bloody clash between the two armies on 15 June. After this there was talk between the foreign ministers of the two countries and on 22 June the military commanders also held a marathon meeting. Top government sources have confirmed that the Indian Army has been directed to aggressively respond to any incident from across the border on the LAC.
