Petrol pumps in Dehradun reopen after police take action on Pump welfare associations demands

Dehradun Petrol Pump Welfare Association had closed all the petrol pumps in the city today after the police action was not taken after the attack on a pump operator. The police has filed a lawsuit in the case. Along with this, the accused youths have been arrested. After this the association ended the strike.

On Saturday night, some people had attacked the operator of a petrol pump located in Patel Nagar. The pump operator demanded police action for this, but the pump operators got frustrated  because no action was taken by the police till this morning. In protest, the Dehradun Petrol Pump Welfare Association closed all the petrol pumps in the city. At the same time, in the afternoon, the police filed a lawsuit and arrested two accused youths. After this the petrol pump owners stopped the strike. With this, people breathed a sigh of relief.
