Asian Rafting Championship begins in Himachal

The Asian Rafting Championship in Nadaun, Himachal was inaugurated by HPTDC Chairman and Nagrota Bagwan MLA RS Bali on Friday morning. He congratulated the organizers for this and said that there is immense potential for tourism in the entire Himachal Pradesh including Nadaun assembly constituency. A total of 24 different teams including Nepal, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Indian Army, BSF, Karnataka and Sikkim are participating in the competition.

Asian Rafting Championship competition will be organized in Nadaun from 3rd to 5th November by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Department in collaboration with Hamirpur District Administration and The Indian Rafting Federation. All preparations for the marathon event of the Asian Rafting Championship have almost been completed.

The men’s marathon event will be held on November 5, the last day of the championship. The closing ceremony will start at 2 pm, in which Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri will distribute prizes to the winning teams. Cultural programs will also be organized in the closing ceremony. During this, famous artist of Himachal Pradesh and Indian Idol fame Anuj Sharma, Voice of Punjab winner Gaurav Kaundal and many other famous artists will entertain the people.
