Central Government approves salary hike for more than 2.5 lakh postal workers

The central government has announced a major announcement for rural post office workers. The central cabinet has approved the proposal to increase salaries and allowances of 2 lakh 60 thousand postal workers in the country. The salary of the postal workers has been increased by 56%. Arrears will be provided to the Postal Servants from January 1, 2016. It had been a long time since the last salary hike by the Rural Postal Service . Many times the workers even stalled the services. On the other hand, the government has also given great relief to the sugar industry. More than 8000 crores of relief package for sugar sector has been approved. This possibility was already predicted. At the same time, the government has also approved the proposal to make a buffer stock of 30 lakh tonnes. The government will provide 1175 crore rupees to make sugar mill a buffer stock. The Cabinet has also decided that the Surplus land of the sick PSU will be used for the construction of house for the poor.
Apart from this, the central cabinet has approved the construction of 6-lane bridge on Ganga river in Phaphamau, Allahabad on Wednesday. Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told in a press conference that Rs. 1948 crore will be spent on construction of bridge. Apart from this, the Cabinet has revised the guidelines for shutting down the government companies. Additional land of companies will be used in housing schemes for the poor.
