India defeat England by 203 runs to win 3rd Test

Team India beat England by 203 runs in the third Test played at Nottingham. At the same time, the Virat Brigade has opened the winning account of the five-match Test series. Losing the toss, India were bowled out for 329 in their first innings. In reply, hosts England only managed 161 in their first innings. In this way India got 168 run lead in the first innings.

After this, Team India declared their innings in the second innings with 352 runs for 7 wickets and set a huge goal of 521 runs for the hosts to win the series. In reply England’s team, scored 317 runs thereby giving India a 203 run win. Jos Butler, with the help of 21 fours in his 176-ball 106, made a big partnership with Stokes (187 balls, 60 runs, 6 fours) of 169 for the fifth wicket.

Earlier, in the second innings for India captain Virat Kohli scored 103 runs for which he played 197 balls and hit 10 fours. Apart from Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara scored 72 runs in 208 balls with nine fours while Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten on 52 runs in 52 balls with seven fours and one six. This was a big comeback for India after they were thoroughly outplayed in the second test at Lords. The hosts still lead the 5 match test series 2-1.
