Man from UAE donates 26 lakh Dirham for Kerala flood victims

A merchant from United Arab Emirates (UAE) has donated 26 lakh dirhams (707, 837 dollars) for financial assistance to India’s flood affected state of Kerala. In Indian rupees, this donation is of 4,94,03,483 rupees.

According to Khaleej Times, Fatima Healthcare Group Chairman K.P. Hussain stated that nearly half of the amount will be given to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Kerala while the rest will be allocated for medical assistance.

Hussain said that the group has coordinated with the state health secretary to send their volunteers from the medical faculty to the relief camps, which include doctors and paramedics. Earlier, other UAE merchants have even talked about giving donations to relief operations in Kerala.
