Fresh spell of rain, snow in Uttarakhand

In the hilly areas including the plains of North India, the weather is bad since Thursday morning. There was light to heavy rain in many areas including Dehradun, Haridwar, New Tehri of Uttarakhand. There was light rain and fog in Rishikesh since morning.

Snowfall in Chardham including Kedarnath

At the same time, snowfall has started in Chardham including Kedarnath. There has also been heavy snowfall in Nainital and Dhanachuli areas. Snowfall has also occurred in Auli, Chakrata and Dhanaulti. Tourists are flocking to these places after receiving the news of snowfall.

The weather is bad in the entire state including Dehradun Haridwar since Thursday morning. Rain started in New Tehri from 7 am. On the other hand, there was light rain in Rudraprayag district since morning. Snowfall also continued in the high altitude areas including Kedarnath.

Snowfall in high altitude areas in Mussoorie

Whereas in Mussoorie, the day started with a haze of fog. At the same time, it was raining in many areas of Mussoorie since morning. Snowfall occurred in the high altitude place Laltibba, due to which the cold has increased in the city. Talking about Chamoli, rain and snowfall continued in the district since early morning. Yamunotri valley in Badkot has been receiving drizzle since morning.

Heavy rain alert

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain and snowfall in the high altitude areas on February 3 and 4. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert regarding heavy rains. According to the Dehradun Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain on February 3 and 4, snowfall in high altitude areas in mountainous districts and hailstorm in Udham Singh Nagar. There is a possibility of light rain in the hill districts on February 5 and 6, while the weather is expected to remain dry in the plains.
