Step 2:  Payment Method

The application fees for applying PAN card is Rs.110 (including GST) for applications providing Indian communication address and Rs. 1020 (Including GST) for those providing communication of a foreign address. Those who are applying online for PAN card can make payment through debit/credit card and net banking. If online applicants are not comfortable with online payment methods they can send the demand draft for the aforementioned amount drawn in favor of NSDL – PAN payable at Mumbai.

Once the payment is done successfully, you will see an acknowledgement slip with acknowledgement number, which you need to save for later use

Step 3: Documents to be sent for verification

After submitting the application online and successful completion of the payment, the applicant has to courier all the supporting documents to NSDL or UTIITSL for further processing of their PAN card application. Both the authorized agencies will process the online PAN card application only after receiving the self attested copies of all the documents. Steps To Make Changes/Corrections in PAN Card Online

To make things simpler and easy to access for people, Government of India has also made a provision of making changes and corrections in your PAN card online. Under this facility, one can change information like name, date of birth, etc. on your PAN card online. Though the process of making changes in PAN card online is almost same as your new PAN card online application, here the only difference is to submit the documents required for supporting/authenticating the changes/corrections you want to make in your PAN card.

Here are the steps one can take for online update/correction of PAN Card:

Step 2: Payment Options

The charges for making changes and corrections in your PAN card are same as your new application because here the applicant is charged the courier fees that authorities incur for sending the PAN card at applicants address. Thus, the charges remain the same for correction/change in PAN card as well. The online payment process remains the same with debit/credit card and net banking facility; one can also send demand draft as mentioned above for completing the payment. On successful completion of payment an acknowledgment slip with acknowledgement number will be generated which you should save for future reference.

Step 3: Documents for Changes/Correction in PAN Card Online

After the successful submission of ad payment confirmation the applicant has to courier all the supportive documents for the change/correction they want to make to the NSDL office. Once the authorities will receive the documents the change/correction process will begin. Here the applicant needs to send only documents supporting their change/correction request, like if they want to get the father’s name corrected then only send supporting document stating your father’s name along with your identity proof. The documents that will be accepted in such cases include the following:

  • Name Change after Marriage for Ladies: Marriage certificate, Marriage invitation card, Publication of ‘name-change’ in gazette, a certificate from a Gazetted officer stating name change, Copy of passport showing husband’s name.
  • Name Change for Individual Applicants other than Married Ladies: Publication of `name-change’ in a gazette, a certificate from a gazetted officer stating name change.
  • For Companies – ROC’s certificate for name change.
  • For Partnership firms – revised Partnership Deed
  • For other registered organizations (AOP/Trust/BOI/AJP,etc.): Revised registration/deed/agreement.
