Ban on TikTok app download lifted

The ban on popular Chinese app TikTokhas been lifted. Madurai Bench of Madras High Court has decided to remove the ban from this video sharing app. In the court on behalf of Tik Tok, Arvind Datar has argued banning this app is not a solution. Right-to-do protection of users is important.

It is a matter of great relief for the company, because of this ban, the company was losing $ 5 million (about Rs 3.49 crore) every day.TikTok is quite popular in India and according to the company, there are 300 million active users.

 

After the decision of TikTok Ban of the Madras High Court, Google and Apple had removed this app in India from the Play Store and Apple Store but after the order the app will soon be available for download.

Earlier, the Supreme Court asked the Madras High Court to give final verdict in the interim order with TikTok. It was said that if the High Court fails to decide it, then the ban will be withdrawn.

After the TikTok ban, its parent company Byte Dance announced that more investments will be made in India and the number of employees will also be increased. The company relied on the Indian judicial system, saying that the company expects this app to be available for Indian users again. Not only this, the company even said that it would cause loss of free speech in India if the ban is not lifted.

After the TicTok Ban, the company had said that six million videos were removed from the TiTok App which were violating the Community Guideline. Not only this, the company also said that the option to put filters in the comments is being given, so that people get rid of unwanted comments.
