3 youth drown in river in Pauri

While bathing in the river Nayar, three youths, including a service man, died due to drowning. Their bodies have been recovered. All three were residents of Khirsu Block.

The accident happened near the bridge on the Nayar river on the motorway in Banas road in the Paithani area. According to information received from the police, some youths from the village had come to Paithani for bathing. On Wednesday afternoon, they were all bathing under the bridge. During this time one of his companions was swept away by the water flow. To save him, his two companions went into deep water one after another, and soon they too were out of sight. Their colleagues informed the police about the developments. On this, the rescue team started investigating the youth who were missing. After some time their bodies were recovered at some distance.

The deceased have been identified as Gurdev Singh (23 years old) son Thakur Singh, Naveen Singh (23) son Jagmohan Singh, Pradeep Son (22 years old), resident of Parsu. Gurudev was a soldier, while the other two used to work in the private company. Since the news of the accident, there is a wave of mourning in their village.
