Air India offers ‘huge discounts’ on last minute bookings

Air India will give more discounts to those who make bookings at the last minute. Air India will not reap more money from the last time ticket takers in domestic aircrafts. Rather they will get a discount. It is possible to book these tickets 3 hours before departure.

Air India said in a statement that the airline company has decided to give “huge discounts” in ticket booking three hours prior to the flight (departure). The exemption given by the company has not disclosed. The company said that travelers who travel in the last minute, especially those traveling due to very important reasons, can book tickets at very low prices. Tickets can be made through booking counter, website, app or agent.

This decision has been taken in the commercial review meeting. Earlier, an official had told PTI – that Air India would give 50 percent discount on ticket booking in the last minute. An airline official said that in general, customers are forced to pay 40 percent or more for the last minute booking. However, after the temporary shutdown of Jet Airways, this gap is significantly higher than the normal.
