‘BJP planning to assassinate me’ alleges Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday accused the BJP of conspiring to assassinate him. He claimed that he could be killed just like former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In fact, Kejriwal has posted a tweet alleging that “Why does BJP want to kill me. What is my fault I am making schools and hospitals for the people of the country. For the first time, positive politics of school and hospital has started in the country. The BJP wants to end it. But, till the last breath, I will continue to work for the country.”

Earlier, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had reacted with a tweet from Delhi BJP leader Vijender Gupta. Manish Sisodia wrote that “BJP wants to kill CM. This tweet by Vijendra Gupta proved that CM’s Daily Security report is approaching BJP every day and BJP is plotting to kill CM on its basis. This conspiracy also included Vijendra Gupta.”

On the other hand, Vijender Gupta tweeted and alleged that “on May 4, Arvind Kejriwal asked the liasoning officer before a man slapped him, to remove the security from the vehicle. CM’s schedule is in the daily routine. This was what I did, so that AAP did not get the election benefit. In retaliation, Kejriwal is saying that PSO reports to BJP.”

Significantly, Kejriwal feared that his PSO could kill him just like Indira Gandhi. Former PM Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her personal security officer (PSO). At present, Kejriwal is in Punjab to campaign for his party. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is contesting all the seats in the state. At the beginning of this month, a person slapped Kejriwal on a road show in the Motinagar area of Delhi. Delhi Police claimed that the guiltywas a dissident AAP worker, but the party had blamed the BJP for the attack.

Responding to these allegations, the Delhi Police said that their security unit is a professional group of well-trained personnel who are fully committed to their duty and follow their duties with high levels of dedication and professionalism. PRO Anil Mittal, Delhi Police said, “This unit is providing security cover for many high-profile people of all political parties. The security personnel posted in the Chief Minister’s security team are equally committed to their duties. “
