Earthquake tremors felt in Uttarkashi and Chamoli district

Minor earthquake tremors were felt in Chamoli and Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The locals frightened by the earthquake, came out of the houses. Its intensity was measured 3.8 on the Richter scale. There is no information about the damage to the property so far.

Earthquake shocks were felt in Chamoli district on Friday night, around eight minutes past one. Its center is within ten km inside the ground. At the same time, earthquake shocks were felt in Gangotri, Harshil area of ​​Uttarkashi district. The locals and travelers, frightened by the earthquake, came out of the houses. District disaster management officer Devendra Patwal told that the center of the earthquake was in Chamoli district situated on the border of Uttarkashi. The earthquake intensity was measured at 3.8.
