Hyundai Venue launched in India; price starts at 6.5 lakh

Hyundai has launched its first all compact SUV Venue during an event in New Delhi. This car was introduced last month and its official booking was started from May 2. This is Hyundai’s first all-4-meter compact SUV in India. It is also the company’s first connected car.

The starting price of Hyundai Venue has been kept at 6.50 lakh rupees (Delhi Ex showroom). The initial variant is 1.2 L Kappa Petrol and it is a manual.

Talking about the features of Hyundai Venue, the projector headlamps, dark chrome grill, projector type fog lamps, LED tail lamps and shark fin antenna have been provided with LED DRLs. It has an 8-inch touchscreen input system and is compatible with both Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Hyundai’s BlueLink technology can be operated through this 8-inch screen. Due to being a connected SUV, many connectivity features have been provided in it. It has total 33 connectivity features, out of which 10 have been given specifically for India.

These features include features such as location based services, AI based voice commands and remote functions for engines, ACs and doors. Along with this, many more features such as electric sunroof, wireless phone charging, air purifiers and cruise control have also been provided. Talking about the dimension of Hyundai Venue, its length is 3,995 mm, width is 1,770 mm and its height and wheelbase is 1,590 mm and 2,500 mm respectively. Speaking of safety features, standard dual front airbags, ABS, BAS, HAC, ESC / ESP, VSM, speed sensing auto door lock, seat-belt reminder and rear parking sensors are provided here.

The engine of Hyundai Venue, has three engine options instead of one or two. The 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine will generate the power of 120 PS and the pickup torque of 172 Nm. This motor has been provided with 6-speed manual gearbox and has been given the option of In-house Developed 7-Speed ​​Double Clutch Transmission (DCT).

There will also be an option of 1.2-liter MPI petrol engine with Venue. This engine generates 83 PS power and 115 Nm pickup torque. Here customers will get 5-speed manual gearbox options. A 1.4-liter unit has been given in the diesel variant, which generates the power of 90 PS and the pickup torque of 220 Nm. There will be a 6-speed manual transmission option.
