PM Modi reviews development works at Kedarnath

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kedarnath on Saturday, after the exhausting campaigning during the Lok Sabha elections, which lasted for a month and a half. The Prime Minister reached Kedarnath via helicopter. He greeted the devotees and local people on both sides of the pedestrian path from the helipad to reach the temple.

PM Narendra Modi will reach Badrinath at 9:30 on Sunday morning and offer prayers there. After that, he will return at ten in the morning. The Prime Minister reached Kedarnath on 18th May, and will stay there during the night. According to the information received, Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Badrinath on Sunday. He will reach Badrinath Dham for the first time as Prime Minister. Strict security has been arranged for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Badrinath.

Following the visit of Kedarnath temple, Prime Minister Modi reviewed the ongoing reconstruction work here. After this, the Prime Minister will meditate at Kedarnath cave and go to Badrinath on Sunday. State Director General of Police (Law and Order) Ashok Kumar said that strict security arrangements have been made in the wake of the security of the Prime Minister.

The purpose of this visit of the Prime Minister is completely spiritual. However, the voting of the last phase of the 19th of May is to be held between Modi’s visit. This phase includes PM Modi’s parliamentary seat, Varanasi, from where he won the election with a big margin last time. Apart from this, the PM is also visiting Kedarnath to seek blessings of Lord Shiva ahead of the results on May 23.

Prime Minister Modi has a special attachment from Uttarakhand and his unseen faith towards Kedarnath. Long time ago he had done sadhana (meditation) in the same Garud Chatti near Kedarnath. After being the Prime Minister, he has been visiting Kedarnath often.
