Pre-monsoon showers expected in Uttarakhand from June 16

Rainfall is expected in Uttarakhand for one week from Sunday. During this period (June 16 to 19) mostly moderate rainfall can occur in most areas. At the same time, rain intensity could decrease in the following three days.
According to the bulletin released from the meteorological center, light to moderate rains may occur in most areas of the state from Sunday. In some areas of the ground and mountain, there is also a possibility of storms with high speed windstorm.

Meteorological director Bikram Singh said that there may be a decrease in rainfall after 19 June. By June 21 the rain will be significantly reduced. He told that it is pre monsoon rainfall. Monsoon in the state is expected to reach in the first week of July.

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has projected the arrival of intense heat for the next two to three days. According to the departmental bulletin, the maximum temperature in the state can be more than two to four degrees above normal in the next 2-3 days. This will make people suffer from heat. The maximum temperature can decrease after the rains begin.

Temperature close to 40 degrees in Doon

The mercury in Doon is inching towards 40 degree figure. After a slight downturn, on Friday, the temperature the temperature spiked up again and stopped just shy of 40 degrees. The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 39.4 degrees.

In the last two nights, there was a slight decrease in the maximum temperature of the capital with light showers and gusts. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature was 39 degrees, while on Thursday it was recorded at 38.3 degrees. On Friday it rose by 1.1 degrees to reach 39.4 degrees. Because of this, people had to struggle with heat and humidity all day on Friday.

The minimum temperature in Dehradun has also reached 25 degrees. Due to this, people are not getting relief at night also. The Meteorological Center has today even predicted a sharp heat wave in the capital Dehradun and its vicinity.
