Girl from Uttarakhand travels multiple cities due to mobile game addiction

These days, the addiction of mobile gaming on people is such that they are ready to do anything for it. A similar case has now surfaced, where a young woman left her house due to a mobile game. A missing student from Pantnagar in Uttarakhand roamed around in several cities and returned home after two weeks.

Schoolgirl went out of the house after being inspired by the mobile game ‘Taxi Driver 2’. Her ‘adventure’ ended in Delhi, when a police patrol saw her roaming in the Kamla Market area and asked her about her whereabouts.

The girl first claimed that she had come here to meet her brother who is studying in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), but later she told the real story.

The police got a piece of paper from her, on which a phone number was written. With the help of phone number, the information was received from the school, from where the police came to know that she has been missing for 17 days. The police contacted her family, who reached Delhi to take her back.

According to police officials, the girl took this step due to playing a South Korean 3D mobile driving game ‘Taxi Driver 2’. In the game, players go behind a taxi wheel and follow their customers to a huge metropolis.

The girl used to play it on her mother’s mobile phone. On July 1, the student left the house with 14 thousand rupees, and she traveled Rishikesh, Haridwar, Udaipur, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and even to Pune in this time period. The police said that the girl was choosing her destination arbitrarily and  was on the move 24 hours a day seven days a week. The schoolgirl traveled in the night and roamed around in cities during the day. However, her family has refused to say anything about it.
