Tata launches dual tone variant of Harrier

Tata Motors has announced that the company has sold 10,000 units since the launch of Harrier SUV in January. In such a case, the company has introduced Harrier’s dual-tone color option. Harrier with a dual tone option will be available in the top off line XZ variants in two Colors- Callisto Copper and Orcas White. Harrier’s look will also be appealing from the Black Contrast Roof.

The start of the Tata Harrier range starts from Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the price of the dual-tone option is Rs 16.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). That is, the Harrier Dual Tone is more expensive up to 20,000 rupees than the Moto Tone version. Dual tone updates of Harrier have been brought about 6 months after its launch. This car is also competing with newcomers like the new MG Hector, Jeep Compass and Upcoming Kia Seltos in the Indian market.

Dual-tone color option is very popular among new and young buyers. Tata Motors offers dual-tone options in its other cars such as Tiago, Nexon and Hexa.

In addition to the visual changes, soon the mechanical changes in Harriers will be seen. Firstly the BS-6 compliant version of the 2.0-liter Kryotec diesel engine will be brought and it will be quite powerful. These engines will generate power around 170hp. Apart from this, the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox taken from Hyundai will be made available soon. Also, a 1.6-liter turbo-petrol variant is also being developed. There is also talk that preparations for making a major 7-seater variant of Harrier are underway.
