Hackers shutdown internet of entire city in America

Hackers have attacked Internet services in the US city of Baltimore. A virus named Ransoware has blocked Gmail and all online payment gateway systems in the city. Hackers have demanded $ 76,280 for the city to get rid of this virus. According to the Verge report, hackers have used a tool ‘EternalBlue’ to crush the system of the city.

EternalBlue has been constructed by the Security Agency NSA. Eternerblue has been used to stop large cyber attacks like ‘Wannacry‘ of 2017. Security Experts say that hackers have used EternalBlue to break into some versions of Windows XP and Vista systems. This allows external parties to perform remote commands on their target.

According to The Baltimore Sun, hackers have demanded $ 76,000 to free the city from this virus in a ransom note found on the computer. In 2017, a group named Shadowbroker had hacked the tool. A day after this, patches were issued to prevent such activities from Microsoft.

From May 7, Baltimore residents are battling this cyber attack. Wherever every work requires internet nowadays, this attack has created a major problem for the people.

At present the IT department is trying to solve this problem. In the US before, a similar case came to light in the US state of Alaska. In a city here, one computer network was compromised. After that, the whole system was crushed in the city.
