Pak sends Kartarpur invitation to Sidhu

The Government of Pakistan has invited former Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu to attend the inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor on November 9 on the 550th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. According to Pakistani media, a Pakistani senator had a telephonic conversation with Sidhu from Lahore and conveyed the message of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Sidhu has accepted it.

At the same time, Girish Sharma, who sees the work in Navjot Sidhu’s office, says that no kind of invitation has arrived in the office. Sidhu is on a visit to Mata Vaishno Devi these days. Significantly, Sidhu went to the swearing-in ceremony of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Sidhu hugged the Chief of the Pakistani Army at the event. After this, he came under target of opposition and public. Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh himself also opposed this. While giving an explanation of the hug, Sidhu said that the Pakistan Army Chief had talked about the construction of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. He hugged him in this happiness.

Congress delegation will also go to Shri Kartarpur Sahib

The news agency ANI quoted sources as saying that the Congress has formed a delegation to visit Shri Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan. The delegation will visit Shri Kartarpur Sahib along with former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh.

The delegation includes Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, RPN Singh, Asha Kumari, Randeep Surjewala, Deepender Hooda and Jitin Prasad. However, Navjot Singh Sidhu’s name was not mentioned in it. Now the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party has decided to send invitation to Navjot Singh Sidhu.

On November 09, India will inaugurate the Kartarpur Corridor. During this time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also reach Dera Baba Nanak. On November 9, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will also inaugurate the corridor from Pakistan’s side.

In November last year, India and Pakistan agreed to build the Kartarpur Corridor. This corridor will connect Sri Darbar Sahib located in Kartarpur to Dera Baba Nanak Shrine in Gurdaspur, Punjab.
