UP govt bans mobile phones in colleges and universities

Yogi Adityanath government has banned smartphones, mobiles in colleges and universities in Uttar Pradesh. Higher education department of Uttar Pradesh has also issued a circular to ban smartphones in colleges. According to the circular, students and teachers will not be able to enter in any university of the state with smartphones.

This decision has been made to increase the atmosphere of studies in colleges and university campuses. This ban has been imposed not only on mobile phones but on all such types of electronic gadgets. It is being said that the government has made this decision as most of the students are glued to their mobiles during lectures.

The government has decided that all government and government recognized institutions will come under this ban. In this subject, the Directorate of Higher Education has issued a circular. It is believed that after this new decision, the quality of education in educational institutions will improve.

Teachers will not be able to bring mobile


According to the report of the IANS, a notice has been issued on the site of the Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Higher Education. It is being said that the government had received such information that a large number of students and teachers use smart phones while studying in college. This has a negative effect on their results, exam preparation etc.

Earlier Yogi Adityanath had prohibited bringing mobile phones during any kind of official and cabinet meeting. The reason behind this was stated that during the meeting, many ministers and officers are busy reading WhatsApp messages. Such a decision will keep their attention in the meeting.
