Mahashivratri 2020: Rare alignment of planets after 117 years

The fast of Mahashivratri will be kept this time on 21 February i.e. Friday. According to priests and astrologers, this time on the occasion of Mahashivaratri, after 117 years, a rare combination of planets is aligning. It is believed that worshiping Lord Shiva on this auspicious occasion, will get you freedom from bad karma. Jalabhishek done in this rare planet coincidence made this year will be auspicious for the balance of nature along with humanity. The fruits of consecration are obtained differently.

The temples of Dehradun have been decorated for Mahashivaratri. It is Maha Shivaratri on Friday and special worship will begin in the temples from midnight on Thursday. Special arrangements have been made for the consecration of Lord Bholenath everywhere. Preparations for Lord Shiva’s Rudrabhishek have been completed in Prithivnath Mahadev and Shyam Sundar Temple, including Sri Tapakeshwar Mahadev Temple. Apart from this, preparations are being made for Mahashivaratri in all the temples of the city.

On this day, Saturn will be in the Capricorn sign and Venus will be in its zodiac sign Pisces. According to religious beliefs, all the wishes are fulfilled by worshiping Mahadev on Mahashivaratri. Fasting on this day is also very important.

Mahaudrabhishek will be held in Mahakaleshwar temple

Maha Mahaudraabhisheka of Lord Bholenath will be performed at Mahashivratri at Rajpur on February 21. Temple priest Kanhaiya Chamoli told that the evening of February 21 will be Trayodashi Tithi for five to 22 minutes. Bhandare will be held the next day on 22 February at 12 noon.

Auspicious time for Mahashivratri prayers

The auspicious time for the prayers will begin from 21 February at 5:20PM, it will remain till the next day, that is, on 22 February, Saturday till 7.30 pm. Worship of the night will be from 6.41 in the evening to 12.52 in the evening.
