- Proficiency in technologies and designing software such as Sketch, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, Design Systems, Adobe Creative Suite, etc
- Strong communication skills and a great team player

Build a career in UI/UX Design
1. Familiarize yourself with UI principles
Before getting to practice designing, familiarize yourself with UI designing principles. For example, some of the basic principles include color, contrast, typography, etc. Learning about these will help you think creatively and have the vision of a designer. Once you start feeling familiar with these principles, you will be able to understand the psychological aspects of design and start practicing.
2. Learn the UX process
The creative UX process is divided into four phases – Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver.
- Discover: This is the initiation of the project when designers visualize, research and gather ideas.
- Define: This is the stage where designers define an idea they discovered and create a structure
- Develop: This is where the designers create the main concept of the project and test it over and over until they get it right
- Delivery: The final stage is known as delivery. The designers finalize the project and launch it.
3. Develop an eye for design
Merely knowing the design principles is not enough. It is important to train your eye to differentiate between a good design and a bad design. Also, to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each design.
4. Learn the latest web design tools
Practicing the latest web design tools is highly crucial for a designer. There are many design tools out there, but you don’t need to practice and understand all of them.
