Since then, Indian Railways and private airlines have started booking tickets for the period after 14 April. In this context, Pradeep Sharma, PRO of Western Railway, said that Indian Railways has started booking tickets for the train journey after April 14.

Tickets can be booked online

Tickets for the journey are available on IRCTC’s app and website from 15 April. Tickets will not be booked at the stations right now. Airlines will also start booking for the journey from April 15. Private airlines companies such as SpiceJet, Indigo and Go Air are opening online booking systems for domestic travel. At present, no official statement has come from the airlines yet.

If the lockdown period increases then pre-booked tickets can be canceled. In such a situation, IRCTC will send the rail fare money directly to the passenger’s bank account.
