23 year old tests positive for Corona in Haldwani
A case of corona infection has been reported in Uttarakhand today. The corona infection has been confirmed in a 23-year-old girl from Nainital district. With this, the number of infected patients has now increased to 69 in the state. 46 of these patients have been cured.
Additional Secretary Health Yugal Kishore Pant has confirmed the woman was infected. He said that on May 10, a girl resident of Haldwani returned from Gurugram. She was quarantined as per protocol. Although the woman did not have any symptoms regarding the infection, the woman had a prescription from a Gurugram doctor. In which the woman was told of a sore throat.
Based on this, the Health Department sent a sample of the girl to Sushila Tiwari Medical College Haldwani for examination, in which the infection has been confirmed. The girl has been admitted to the isolation ward of Haldwani Medical College.
With this, the number of infected patients has now reached 11 in Nainital district. According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, along with recruiting the woman, the people coming in contact with her are also being traced.
10471 samples have been investigated across the state
At the same time, 365 new samples have been sent from Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Haridwar, Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Pauri and Uttarkashi districts on Tuesday for investigation. In Udham Singh Nagar district, the number of samples to be sent for investigation has been increased due to increase in infection cases.
On Tuesday, 239 samples have been reported from Doon, Haldwani, Srinagar Medical College, AIIMS Rishikesh and private pathology labs. The report of one of these girl samples has come out positive. So far, 10471 samples have been examined in the entire state.
