Uttarakhand HC to hear only very urgent matters from April 15 onwards

In view of the present situation of the country, only the most urgent cases will be considered for hearing from April 15 after the holiday till 14th in the Uttarakhand High Court. For this, the advocates will be able to apply through e-mail, information of which will be sent over e-mail mentioned in theĀ  notification through the official website of the court after consideration under a prescribed procedure. For this, the advocates will not have to come in direct contact with the court staff.

On Saturday, in the notification issued by the High Court Registrar General Heera Singh Bonal in the order of the Chief Justice of the High Court, it has been told that the matter will not be considered other than the most urgent matters in the High Court from April 15 onwards till further orders. It has been clarified in the information that in any case, the Advocate shall not personally contact any employee of the Court or any officer and employees of the High Court nor will they go to any section of it.

The decision to hear the cases will be considered on the basis of the criteria established for the hearing of cases on holidays. In the event of a hearing as directed by the Chief Justice, the concerned advocate will be informed to send the petition in e-mail with the documents in PDF format. A control room will also be set up in the court by computer software experts to arrange hearing through video conferencing.
