Naintal district included in Red Zone; Udham Singh Nagar in Green

The graph of corona infection in Uttarakhand is on the rise. On Sunday, 105 more patients were found to be corona positive as per the health bulletin issued at 8 P.M. With this the total case count in Uttarakhand has reached 907. At the same time, a woman doctor of Doon Medical College Hospital has also been found infected.

There are still 692 active cases in the state. With this, Nainital has now been included in the Red Zone. While Udham Singh Nagar has been included in the Green Zone. The rest of the districts are in the Orange zone.

Community transition has not started says Chief Secretary

Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh said that corona infection has not yet come in the phase of community spread in the state. He said that all the positive cases have come from outside the state, their travel history and contact tracing continues. Most of the cases are coming from outside migrants getting infected. The health department is fully prepared to deal with infection.

There are 36 containment zones in the state as on May 31.
