Two new corona cases found in Uttarakhand on May 8

Two new Corona positive cases have been reported in the state on Friday. One patient is from Haridwar and the other is from Bajpur, Udham Singh Nagar. With this total corona positive cases reported in the state have increased to 63. Six Corona-positive patients recovered and were discharged. In the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, it was told that two reports have come positive in samples sent to AIIMS Rishikesh and Haldwani Medical College.

The 31-year-old youth of Haridwar was admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh on the issue related to Pancreas. He had to have surgery at AIIMS. The doctor conducted a corona test of the patient as a precaution before surgery. The report of which came positive on Friday. The second case is of US Nagar. A 23-year-old youth resident of Bajpur was sneaking away into the state from Delhi on May 6.

On being caught on the border, he was sent to isolation center in LD Bhatt Hospital, Kashipur. His sample was sent for testing. Which came positive on Friday. Additional secretary Yugal Kishore Pant said that the total number of corona positive cases in the state has gone up to 63. A total of 45 people have been recovered and discharged.

Currently the number of active cases is 17. On Friday, 347 reports came in negative. 215 new samples have been sent for test. In total 8548 samples, 8485 reports are negative. Report of 230 samples is awaited. The state’s recovery rate is 73.77 percent. So the case doubling rate is 96 days. On Friday, two samples have been sent from Almora, 30 from Dehradun, 13 from Haridwar, 56 from US Nagar and 4 from Uttarkashi for testing.
