Uttarakhand government allows inter-district travel

Now any citizen in Uttarakhand will be able to move from one district to another. However, the system of passes for inter-state movement has not been abolished. The government has made a provision that one has to apply for online pass before moving to another district.

Without waiting for approval, they can be moved to another district only on the basis of application. However, if any district joins the Red Zone, there will be a system of getting permission through pass to come and go there.

All the districts in Uttarakhand are in Orange category. In such a situation, the government has ended the system of getting approval for the application for the pass for movement of people from one district to another. Government spokesman Madan Kaushik said that the matter came up in the cabinet meeting.

The government decided that if a person wants to move from one district to another, they can go. To inform the administration, they has to apply by visiting the website with online pass application. There will be no need for approval on the application.

Will not be quarantined

He made it clear that this arrangement is only for the districts of Orange and Green zones. If a district falls in the Red Zone, the rules will be completely changed. The district administration will approve the pass to enter or exit the Red Zone. No one will come out of the red zone without clearance and will be able to leave.
