As corona cases go up in India so does recovery rate

According to the Ministry of Health, the recovery rate of corona in the country has been 48.07 percent. Health Ministry’s Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal gave this information in a press conference on Tuesday. At the same time, the testing facility in the country has been increased. Every day more than 1 lakh 20 thousand tests are being done in the country. Meanwhile, the government has also approved Remdesivir drug for the use of serious patients of Corona.
Lav Aggarwal said that our effort has been to identify and treat corona cases in time. So far 95,527 people have recovered from Corona. In the last 24 hours, 3708 patients have recovered after treatment. Our recovery rate is 48.07%. Corona’s recovery rate in the country on April 15 was 11.42 percent. He said that the death rate due to COvid-19 in the country is 2.82%. It has one of the lowest mortality rates in the world. Half of the corona-related deaths occurred in 10 percent of the country’s population. 73 percent of the people who died from Corona had other problems.
Regarding the cases of coronavirus, Lav Aggarwal said that it would not be right to compare the countries of the world. India has more population than other countries. If we are also comparing then this should be kept in mind. He said that in case of 14 countries with equal population, there have been 22.5 times more cases and 55.2 times more deaths than India.
What did the ICMR say
In the press conference, ICMR said that we are also using other independent platforms to increase corona testing. The TruNet Screening and Confirmation Test has been approved. This increased the scope of testing. 681 labs of the country are recognized for the corona test. Of these, 476 are government and 205 are private. 1 lakh 20 tests are being done every day.
Approval of the use of Remdesivir drug
The government has approved the use of Remdesivir drug amid increasing cases of corona virus. This medicine will be used for severe coronavirus patients. Remdesivir, which is used in the treatment of Ebola, is the one of the medicine that is seen to be very effective in the treatment of corona.
How many cases of corona in the country
Corona has gained momentum in the country. The situation is that now around eight thousand people are getting infected everyday. So far, 1 lakh 98 thousand 706 people have been found infected with the coronavirus. While 5598 people have died. Corona figure in Maharashtra alone is over 70 thousand.
