Government order not allowing private schools to increase fees this session passed in Uttarakhand

Private schools of Uttarakhand will not be able to increase any fee under any circumstances in the education session 2020-21. An order in this regard has been issued by the Secretary of Education on Monday.

After the hearing of various writ petitions filed in the High Court regarding the school fees, the order issued by Education Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram said not to increase any kind of fee apply equally to all the day and boarding schools.

School to give extra time for paying fees

If a parent is unable to pay the school fees, the concerned parent may take additional time to pay tuition fees from the school principal or school management committee. Such parents will be given extra time on behalf of the school.

But under no circumstances will the student of the school concerned be dropped out of school. Only schools that teach online will be able to charge tuition fees. It has been said in the order that employees of private schools will also be given salary regularly by the school management.
