Government releases guidelines for other state pilgrims to visit Chardham
The Uttarakhand government has given a big gift to the pilgrims on Friday. Now besides Uttarakhand, pilgrims from other states will also be able to visit Chardham. Till now the visit was open only to the people of Uttarakhand.
The government has also prepared a guideline amidst the coronavirus infection in the country and the state. Pilgrims coming from outside states have to follow all guidelines. Garhwal Commissioner Ravinath Raman said that the Chardham Devasthanam Board has started Chardham for pilgrims from other states as well. All pilgrims will have to undergo corona test 72 hours before entering the state.

Significantly, earlier, the Uttarakhand government had allowed Chardham only for the people of the state. With the issuance of guidelines for pilgrims, a limited number of pilgrims were allowed to visit Chardham.
Devotees desirous of Chardham Yatra will have to undergo a corona check 72 hours before from ICMR approved labs before registering for the yatra. Travelers are advised to register online only after the corona report comes negative. After coming to the report negative wishing to go to Chardham, you can register you and your family’s names in the website of Uttarakhand Chardham Devasthanam Management Board. If a pilgrim does not have a corona check before entering the state, then after completing the quarantine period, they can go on Chardham Yatra.
Apply for e-pass on Devasthanam Board website
The application for e-pass can be made by visiting the Chardham Devasthanam Board website https://badrinath-kedarnath.gov.in/. Here, along with giving your complete information, you will have to upload the report of the corona test conducted within 72 hours. Apart from this, identity cards will also have to be provided. The e-pass can be downloaded from the website only on getting permission.
