Uttarakhand total corona case count crosses 3000
On Friday, corona infection was confirmed in 64 new patients in the state. With this, the number of infected patients in Uttarakhand has now crossed 3000.
According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, eight patients have been found infected in Almora, three in Bageshwar, two each in Chamoli, Champawat and Haridwar. At the same time, 21 patients (one private lab) in Dehradun, 13 in Nainital, one in Pithoragarh and 12 in Udham Singh Nagar were found to be corona positive.
With this, now the number of patients in the state has reached 3048. So far 2481 infected patients have recovered and returned home. There are still 498 active cases. While 42 corona-infected patients have died so far.
The percentage of recovery rate of patients in the state is 81.40%.
Technical committee constituted for prevention of corona
The government has constituted a technical committee to give suggestions for prevention of corona infection in the state. Prof. In-charge of Community Medicine Department of Government Doon Medical College. Devrat Roy will be the chairman of the committee. This committee will give suggestions to the government by studying the techniques adopted in the country and the world for the treatment of corona infected cases, infection outbreak, infection prevention and treatment of patients in the state.
Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Secretary Health, has issued orders to constitute the technical committee.The committee constituted under the chairmanship of Professor Devrat Roy, Dr. Sadhana Awasthi, Associate Professor of Haldwani Medical College, Prof. In-charge of Community Medicine Department of Almora Medical College. Amit Singh, Associate Professor Dr. Srinath Kumar of Srinagar Medical College and Dr. Vikas Sharma, SMO of World Health Organization Uttarakhand have been made members.
The data related to the corona infection will be given to the committee members every Friday on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer of the State Covid Control Room. Also, data can be obtained from the Chief Medical Officers. The objective of the committee will be to study the steps taken to prevent corona infection in the world, as well as other cases including infected cases in the state, protection of health workers from infection, death of corona infected, risk factors for spreading corona infection, health facility and give suggestions to the government.
