Uttarakhand Corona news: 279 cases found on 29 July

On Wednesday, 279 new cases were reported in Uttarakhand, of which 81 were the highest in Udham Singh Nagar district. Besides this, 74 cases have been reported in Haridwar, 50 in Dehradun, 26 in Pithoragarh, 20 in Nainital, 18 in Almora, five in Uttarkashi, three in Pauri, one each in Champawat and Tehri Garhwal. Two of the infected have died. At the same time, 91 people have recovered today. The number of infected patients has now reached 6866 in the state, out of which 3811 have recovered and discharged. At present, 2945 cases are active in the state, while 72 people have died. In addition, 38 patients have moved out of the state.

Corona infected patient dies in Doon Hospital

A corona-infected 64-year-old woman admitted to Doon Medical College Hospital died. The woman was hospitalized on 28 July. The woman died during treatment on Wednesday. The hospital administration said that the deceased will be handed over by the police administration in the presence of relatives as per the guidelines of Covid-19.

According to information received from the health department, on Tuesday, 4104 sample investigation reports were received. Of these, 3845 reports are negative and 259 report positive. Maximum 108 cases were from Udham Singh Nagar in which 61 people have come in contact with previously infected persons. Reports of seven health workers have also come positive. 19 patients came to the flu clinic for their tests. The travel history of 11 people was not yet known.

In Haridwar, infection was confirmed in 42 more people. 30 of them have been infected by contact with persons found corona positive in the past. Travel history of 12 others is being ascertained. There were 33 new cases of corona infection in Doon whose travel history was not known. There were 13 new cases in Tehri yesterday. Of these, seven travel histories are not known, while others have returned from Mumbai, Delhi and Oman. Reports of ten people in Almora are positive.
