CBSE issue notification for Compartment exams 2020

Putting an end to all the speculation about the cancellation of the CBSE board compartmental exams, the CBSE finally announced the circular for the compartmental exam. Exams will be conducted this year for 10th and 12th. Forms for the CBSE compartmental examination will be filled from August 13 to 20. At the same time, the optional exam forms of students who do not give the exam from 1 to 15 July will also be filled. According to the news, CBSE board compartmental examinations could be scheduled from the month of September.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will hold the compartment, optional exam in September for those who failed to clear their Class 10 or 12 board exams on their first attempt, and students whose exams got canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and they could not appear in the paper, and applied to improve performance. However, not all students parents are happy with this decision of the board and they have gone to the Supreme Court in protest. After pleading with the court, the matter is now under consideration in the court and the students are hopeful that CBSE Board, like Bihar Board, can cancel the compartment exam and promote the students.

This petition was filed on behalf of the students by Sandeep Sourav, National General Secretary of All India Students Association. Students argue that if the CBSE board does the exam then they will not be able to get admission in any college, as admissions in almost all colleges will end in by 15-20 August. Now a quick decision is coming in this matter, after which it will be clear whether the compartment exam will be done or not.

This time in the CBSE class 10th, there were compartments of 1,50,198 students and 87,651 students of class 12th. A few days ago, CBSE had categorically refused to pass the students by giving grace marks, the board said that students who failed in one or two subjects, they have to take compartmental examination.
