Record 728 corona cases reported in Uttarakhand

The graph of corona infection and death is increasing in Uttarakhand. On Thursday, record 728 new cases were reported in the state, while 251 were cured. 9530 samples were sent for testing on 27 August from Uttarakhand which is a record as well. Today, maximum 175 cases were reported from Haridwar, 150 from Dehradun while 122 cases were from Nainital.

Seven more Corona-infected patients have died during the last twenty-four hours. Six of them died in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and one in Doon Medical College. He was also suffering from other serious diseases. So far 228 patients have died in the state. The total number of infected people has crossed seventeen thousand. On Thursday afternoon, apart from a Jawan of SDRF institute Jollygrant, an employee of Indigo Company was also found corona positive in the random examination at the airport.

Seeing the casual attitude of some people towards the corona virus, last month, the government had directed the police and the administration to take strict action against those who are in the public places without masks. The aim was that people should understand the situation arising out of Corona and avoid becoming a threat to others, but it does not seem that this appeal of the government in the state has had any effect. People from cities to villages and towns are still roaming in public places without masks. Ultimately, the Uttarakhand police are once again being forced to take a tough stance. Now the Director General of Police has given clear instructions to the police of all the districts that strict action should be taken against those who do not use masks.

The doubling rate in the state is 23.5 days while the infection rate has crept up to 5.31 percent.
