Uttarakhand Corona news 03 Aug: maximum cases recorded in Haridwar

On Monday, August 03, 207 new cases of corona infection were reported in Uttarakhand. After this, the total number of cases in the state has now reached 7800. At present, 3134 cases are active in the state. 4538 patients have been cured.

On Monday, 101 patients of Uttarakhand have recovered. At the same time, four corona positive patients died. On Monday, five new cases were reported in Almora and Uttarkashi, two in Champawat, one in Rudraprayag, Tehri and Udham Singh Nagar, 38 in Dehradun, 101 in Haridwar, 47 in Nainital and six in Pauri.

330 areas have been sealed in five districts of the state for prevention of corona infection. In the last one month, the number of container zones has increased from 93 to 330. Out of these maximum are in Haridwar district.

13 Containment Zone in Dehradun district

According to the Health Department report, a total of 330 containment zones have been created in Haridwar, Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarkashi and Champawat districts. In Haridwar district, 301 containment zones have been sealed in 114 areas in Roorkee, 160 in Haridwar, 17 in Bhagwanpur, 10 areas in Laksar.

There are 13 containment zones in Dehradun district. These include four in Dehradun, one in Chakrata, seven in Vikasnagar, one containment zone in Raiwala.

On July 1, 93 containment zones were declared in the state, but due to increasing cases of corona infection, the government has instructed all districts to undertake surveillance and sampling by creating micro containment zones. There is a restriction on all types of activities and movement of people except essential services in the Containment Zone.
