Uttarakhand Corona cases hit another record high
The records of Corona in the state are becoming uncontrollable every day as new patients are found. On Thursday, 946 new patients were found in a single day. With this, the total number of patients has increased to 22180. So far 14945 patients have been cured while 6871 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
According to the data released by the health department, maximum 272 cases were from Dehradun, 135 in Haridwar, 105 in Nainital, 194 in Udham Singh Nagar, 50 in Uttarkashi, 48 in Almora, 1 each in Bageshwarand Chamoli, 20 in Champawat, 31 in Pauri, Corona virus has been confirmed in 28 patients in Pithoragarh, 24 in Rudraprayag, 37 in Tehri.
508 patients admitted to various hospitals have been discharged today. The number of patients cured in the state has been 14945. While 6871 patients are undergoing treatment. On Thursday, 9909 samples were sent for testing.
Reports of more than 11 thousand samples came while reports of more than 14 thousand samples are yet to come. The rate of doubling of corona patients in the state is close to 22 days, with the infection rate exceeding five and a half percent. While the rate of recovery of patients is at 67 percent.
Death toll reached 300
Cases of death during corona infection are also increasing in the state. On Thursday, nine patients died in different hospitals, taking the total death toll to 300. Five patients died at AIIMS Rishikesh, three patients died at Haldwani Medical College while one patient died at Base Hospital Kotdwar. So far, the maximum number of 147 patients have died in Dehradun district. Whereas in Haridwar district, the number of patients has crossed five thousand.
Entry of outsiders has been banned in the Directorate General of Health amid rapidly increasing cases of corona infection. Now only employees will be able to enter the Directorate. Outsiders will be able to enter the office only after the permission of the Head of Department. It is known that Corona cases were found infected first in the Directorate General of Health and later in the Office of Planning, NHM. After this, the entry of outsiders into the Directorate has been banned. Here, the office of the Medical Council of India has been closed till September 8 after some people were found ill. All staff of the council have been instructed to remain in home isolation.
Earlier on Wednesday, Corona recorded 836 cases in the state. This is the highest number of infected in a day. The severity of the situation can be gauged from the fact that in the last one month 13787 cases of corona have been reported in the state. According to the Health Department, test reports of 10667 samples were received from different government and private labs, out of which 9831 reports have been negative.
