Cold intensifies after snowfall in hills of Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, the weather changed once again on Monday. Due to snowfall and rain in the mountainous regions, cold winds have increased in the plains and other districts. There are clouds in the mountainous and plains districts of different districts of the state. At the same time, there is snowfall in the high hills including Chardham.

Snowfall continued in the higher reaches including the hills of Badrinath. Cold has increased in the district after snowfall. Hemkund Sahib, including Auli, have also received snowfall.

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in four to five districts for the next four to five days from November 22. While the dry cold may increase in the plains. So far in the month of November, most of the places in the state are witnessing dry cold.

However, one or two days after Deepawali, snowfall occurred in other high areas like Kedarnath, Badrinath. While the rest of the areas received rain. But since then, the weather has been dry.

There is snow in Badrinath Dham along with Nar Narayan and Neelkanth hills of Badrinath. On Monday, heavy snowfall continued in the high hills of Rudranath, Nanda Devi.

According to Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, on November 22, there may be rain or snowfall in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts, especially in high altitude areas.

On November 23 and 25, there is a possibility of very light rain or snow in some places in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts. While the weather will remain dry in the remaining districts of the state.

On November 24, there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall in Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag districts, especially in high altitude areas. Even after 26 November, there is little chance of change in the weather in the next two-three days.

Snowfall on high hills including Gangotri, Yamunotri Dham

The districts of Gangotri-Yamunotri Dham including Harsil, Mukhba, Dharali, Sukki Kharsali, Janaki Chatti, Harkidun, etc. have received snowfall once again. Due to this, cold has increased in the district headquarters Uttarkashi and surrounding areas.

Due to which the life of the people has once again been affected. On Monday morning, the weather changed suddenly and there were thick black clouds in the sky. While snowfall started with light rain on the high hills including Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham.
