Corona active cases again go past 5000 in Uttarakhand
With whole of India reeling under the second wave of Corona, the results are showing in the number of cases in Uttarakhand as well. The situation can be gauged from the fact that the number of active corona patients (active cases) has reached above five thousand. This figure had been running below five thousand since 22 October. Here, on Monday, corona has been confirmed among 455 more people in the state.
According to information received from the Health Department, a total of 12965 sample reports have been received from private and government labs. Of which 12510 report has come negative. Accordingly, the positivity rate has been three and a half percent. The maximum number of cases have been reported from Dehradun district. Corona has been confirmed in 185 people here. The worrying situation is that Doon’s positivity rate is close to six percent. Apart from this, 57 in Nainital, 49 in Pithoragarh, 24 each in Udham Singh Nagar and Almora, 23 in Haridwar, 19 in Pauri Garhwal, 17 in Chamoli, 14 in Tehri Garhwal, 13 in Bageshwar, 11 each in Uttarkashi and Champawat and in Rudraprayag, 8 people have been infected. 74795 cases of corona have been reported so far in the state. In which 67827 people have also become healthy. There are currently 5059 active cases, while 678 patients have gone out of state.
