Corona spike in Uttarakhand: 783 cases found on 11 November

The number of corona patients suddenly increased again on Wednesday. 783 new patients were found in a single day and six died. This brings the total number of patients to 66788. While the figure of the dead has increased to 1086 and the number of those recovering to 60900.

According to the Health Bulletin released by the Health Department, on Wednesday, Dehradun district has the highest number of 227 cases, while Pauri Garhwal had 108 new patients. Whereas 18 in Almora, 9 in Bageshwar, 73 in Chamoli, 7 in Champawat, 55 in Haridwar, 71 in Nainital, 53 in Pithoragarh, 61 in Rudraprayag, 55 in Tehri, 37 in US Nagar and 9 cases in Uttarkashi district were confirmed.

Five admitted to Srinagar Medical College while one infected patient admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh died. On Wednesday, 471 patients were discharged from various hospitals after treatment. With this, the total number of patients recovering in the state has now reached 60900.

While 4251 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. Samples of a total of 10887 patients were sent from state hospitals on Wednesday for examination. Reports of more than 11 thousand samples came while more than 15 thousand reports are yet to come. The rate of infection in the state is 5.84 percent while the recovery rate is 91.18 percent. The number of containment zones has come down to just nine.

So many cases came after one and a quarter months

After a quarter of a month, such a large number of patients have been found in a single day. On October 4, 1419 patients were found in a single day in the state. The number of Wednesday patients is the highest since then. However, on October 9, more than seven hundred patients were found in the state.

After this, on October 17, 606 patients and on October 21, 505 patients had symptoms of corona virus in a single day. In the month of November, the number of patients was running between three hundred to four hundred per day. But the concern of the health department and the government has increased due to sudden increase in patients on Wednesday just ahead of Diwali.
