IMD forecasts more heat in next 3 days

Issuing a new alert, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has advised people to be prepared for the scorching heat in the first week of June.

The department says that in the next three, the temperature will increase by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in most parts of North-West India, due to which people will have to face trouble. However, the IMD has also predicted light rain in some areas on Saturday and Sunday evening. Due to this, the weather will remain dry from June 7 to June 9 in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and West Rajasthan.

Strong winds will blow in these areas

The Met Office said there would be a gradual increase in temperature till the beginning of next week and there would be no major change in the maximum temperature during the next 24 hours till Sunday. Also, no significant change in maximum temperature is likely over most parts of Central India during next 24 hours. But after that the temperature there will also increase by 2-4 degree Celsius. However, no significant change has been predicted in the maximum temperatures over the rest of the country during the next 4-5 days. On June 8-9, there is a possibility of strong winds reaching 25 to 35 kmph speeds in the plains of Northwest India.

Nowth-west India to face most heat

The maximum temperature on Friday was between 33 and 43 degree Celsius in various observation stations of Northwest India. During this temperatures of 33.5 degree Celsius in Himachal Pradesh, 36 in Uttarakhand, 39.5 in Delhi, 37.3 in Jammu and Kashmir, 37.7 in Ladakh, 39.8 in East Rajasthan, 40.4 in Punjab and Haryana, 41.7 in West Rajasthan and 41.9 Celsius in Western Uttar Pradesh was recorded. There is a possibility of light rain in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, from June 10 to June 12, the weather is expected to remain dry in the rest of Northwest India.
