Uttarakhand daily Corona update: 728 new cases found on 12 December

On Saturday, 728 new corona patients were found in the state and 10 patients died. With this, the total number of patients in the state has increased to 81939. 73422 patients have been cured so far while the death toll has reached 1351.

According to the data released by the Health Department, on Saturday, 41 in Almora, 21 in Bageshwar, 28 in Chamoli, 10 in Champawat, 246 in Dehradun, 72 in Haridwar, 132 in Nainital, 37 in Pauri, 32 in Pithoragarh, 25 in Rudraprayag, Corona infection has been confirmed in 26 patients in Tehri, 32 in US Nagar and 26 in Uttarkashi.

One infection patients died on Saturday at Doon Medical College, one at Himalayan Hospital, three at Haldwani Medical College, two at Base Hospital Srinagar and three at Almora Base Hospital.

On Saturday, 435 patients from various hospitals of the state were discharged after recovering. With this, the total number of patients recovering in the state has reached 73422.

While 6207 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals and isolation. Samples of more than 12 thousand patients were sent from all over the state for examination. More than 13 thousand samples were reported.

While the report of about 15,000 samples is yet to come. The recovery rate of patients in the state has fallen from 90 percent to 89.61 percent. While the rate of infection is running at 5.45 percent.

Recovery rate below 90 percent

With the increase in the number of patients in winter, the rate of recovery of patients has also come down. The recovery rate reached 91 percent in the state one and a half months ago.

Which has now fallen below 90 percent. According to the bulletin released on Saturday, the state’s recovery rate has been increased to 89.61 percent. Falling recovery rate has increased the troubles of the health department.

This will not only increase the burden on the hospitals but may also cause problems in getting beds for the patients in the coming days. However, according to Health Department officials, the situation is still under complete control.
