Apple iPad and iPad Air get processor upgrade

Apple has updated the iPad Air with a new design, bigger display and powerful new processor. The new iPad Air (4th Gen) has many of the same features as the iPad Pro, but includes some new improvements. The big thing is about its price, which has been kept in the reach of the people this time. The new iPad Air is available in five colors – Silver, Space Gray, Rose Gold, Green and Sky Blue. Besides this the new 8th generation iPad has been filled with an A12 processor.

The iPad Air’s Wi-Fi 64GB model costs Rs 54,900, while the 256GB variant costs Rs 68,900. iPad Air’s Wi-Fi Cellular 64GB model costs Rs 66,900 and 256GB is priced at Rs 80,900. In the US, iPad Air’s Wi-Fi and cellular models start at $ 599 and $ 729. The latest Apple Pencil will be supported with the iPad Air, which will be magnetically attached to the tab. However, the user will have to spend $ 299 separately for Magic keyboard and Apple pencil. Its sale will start from October.

The design of the iPad Air resembles that of the earlier iPad Air generation, but the new iPad Air has a larger screen and does not have a home button. Apple has given the iPad Air 10.9-inch liquid retina display this time, which has a resolution of 2360X1640 pixels. It still has a Touch ID fingerprint sensor instead of Face ID cameras. It will come with fully laminated, true tone support and anti-reflective coating. It supports the P3 wide color gamut and Apple’s True Tone color adjustment feature.

The new iPad Air has an A14 Bionic processor, which will get 6n CPU support with a 5nm chip. It promises 40 percent better CPU performance and 30 percent faster graphics than the previous generation. It runs on iPadOS and has been introduced with updated graphics.

Talking about the camera, a 12MP camera has been given on the back side of the iPad Air, which comes with video stabilization feature. The front has a 7MP face time HD camera for selfie and video conferencing, which comes with HDR support. It will be able to capture 1080 pixels at 60 frames per second. Talking about connectivity, the iPad Air has a USB-C type, which is equipped with 20W charging support. Additionally, it will be able to transfer 5Gbps of data, it supports both Nano and E-SIM.

Apart from this the Apple watch series 6, Apple watch SE and iOS 14 were launched in the virtual event held yesterday.
