February second warmest on record in New Delhi in over a decade

After 1901 in Delhi, the second highest average minimum temperature was recorded in February this year. The average maximum temperature in the capital in February was 27.9 degrees Celsius, which is the second highest temperature in the month in the last 120 years. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information on Sunday. Department officials said that the highest average maximum temperature in Delhi (Delhi) was recorded at 29.7 degrees in the year 2006 in February.

According to the department, the minimum temperature in the city on Sunday was 15.6 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees Celsius higher than the average for this season. While the maximum temperature here was 32.3 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has predicted a clear sky on Monday and a fog during the morning. Also, the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 31 and 13 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to the Central Air Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s air quality remained poor throughout the day and the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 211.

The Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research System (SAFAR) of the Ministry of Earth Sciences said that AQI is expected to be between moderate and poor during the next two days.
