HDFC market cap crosses Rs 5 lakh crore

Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (HDFC) market cap has crossed Rs 5 lakh crore for the first time. In this context, HDFC has become the 6th largest company in the country. Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever Limited and Infosys companies also have a market cap of over Rs 5 lakh crore.

HDFC share also reached record level

Shares in BSE also rose for the first time to Rs 2,808. The stock has climbed 90% from its March lows. The company also posted a net profit of Rs 2,930 crore in the December quarter. The loan book has also gone up by 9.3% over last year to Rs 4.7 lakh crore. Net interest income i.e. interest earned also increased by 25% to Rs. Four thousand crores.

Reliance Industries has the highest market cap

Reliance Industries leads the market cap. The company has a market cap of Rs 13.02 lakh crore. Apart from this, the market cap of TCS has increased to Rs 12.05 lakh crore and HDFC Bank to Rs 8.75 lakh crore.

Record increase in stock market

The stock market was trading well till noon. The Sensex is trading above 51,700 with a gain of 200 figures. The market cap of listed companies has also gone up to Rs 204 lakh crore. Banking shares are at the forefront of market growth on Friday. The bank index has a gain of 530 points.
