More districts in Punjab come under night curfew as Corona cases on the rise

Increased cases of Coronavirus have raised concerns. After Maharashtra and Kerala, Punjab is the state where the most cases are coming out. Meanwhile, the Punjab government has decided to impose night curfew in four more districts and close all schools from Friday.

Officials said that night curfew has been imposed in Ludhiana, Patiala, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Jalandhar, Nawanshahar, Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur. Here, curfew has been imposed from 11 pm to five in the morning.

Order to close all schools

State Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla informed that the school education department has ordered the closure of all government and private schools.

Exams will be offline

However, the minister said, “Teachers will be present in schools and if a child needs guidance in preparing for the exam, then they can come to school.” He said that the examinations will be made offline under the strict Covid-19 guidelines of the exam. Singla said that following the Covid-19 guidelines, detailed instructions will be issued soon for conducting the examination.

Exams will be held on time

It is worth noting that the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has already released the examination datesheet, under which the 8th and 12th class examinations will start on 22 March while the 10th class examination will start from 9 April.

Over 1300 new cases in 24 hours

1,318 new cases of Covid-19 came in Punjab on Friday. Since the outbreak of the pandemic in the state, 1,94,753 people have been confirmed infected. Here four more people have died due to corona infection in the last 24 hours. So far 6,030 people have lost their lives in the state due toCovid-19.
