Schools closed for ‘offline’ classes in UP till April 30

In view of the increasing number of corona patients increasing in record every day in UP, the state government has announced the closure of offline classes of all schools government and private from class one to 12th till April 30. However, in schools where the examinations where are going on, the examinations will continue as per schedule.

In this regard, the Chief Secretary of the state, RK Tiwari, issued an order saying that all the schools from class one to 12th will be closed, but the schools where the examination is being held. They will be given time to complete the examinations. During this time the coaching institutes will also remain closed. The order was issued after a review meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Team on Sunday.

The second wave of corona infection is setting new records in the state every day. For the first time in UP, the number of corona infections has reached five digits. On Saturday, 12,787 patients were found. At the same time, 48 patients died. Lucknow also created a new record of the maximum number of patients in a single day. For the first time, 4,059 infected were found. In the capital, 23 people died due to Corona.

 

Additional Chief Secretary Medical Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that 6,75,739 have been infected so far. Of these, 6,08,863 have become infection free. The recovery rate of patients has come down to 90 percent. So far 9085 patients have died. The number of active patients has increased to 58,801. He said that 2,12,213 samples were tested in the state on Friday.

Night curfew in three more districts

In view of the infection, night curfew has been imposed in three more districts of Gorakhpur, Jaunpur and Ballia. It will be effective from 9 am to 6 am till 18 April.

Instructions for immediate preparation of 2000 ICU beds in Lucknow

In view of the worrisome situation in the capital Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to immediately prepare two thousand ICU beds in Lucknow. From Sunday, admission of patients on 300 beds will also begin in Balrampur Hospital. Chief Minister Yogi gave these instructions at a high-level meeting at Lok Bhavan on Saturday about the condition of Corona in Lucknow.
